We Drove So Many Leads, They Asked Us to Stop Helping Their Competitors
Clients Are Now Asking Us to Work Only With Them — Here’s Why
We just sent so many leads to one of our clients that they asked for an exclusivity clause for their state.
Why?
Because when marketing works that well, they don’t want us helping their competitors.
Most businesses invest 5–15% of their revenue into marketing. It’s obvious why: more leads → more clients → more revenue.
But here’s what most people miss:
If you’re trying to grow or just starting out, you need to implement the right strategy — one that creates leverage.
First, the most important thing is having an offer people “feel stupid saying no to,” as Alex Hormozi (CEO of a $250M+ company) puts it.
But before you even get to the offer, there’s something more important: your lead magnet.
Most small businesses act transactionally:
“I pay you. You give me results.”
But that’s how Starbucks or McDonald’s operate — not you.
Here’s the truth: 99.9% of people don’t even know you exist.
They know where the closest Starbucks is, but they’ve never heard of your brand.
So why are you marketing like a giant?
Instead, focus on building trust and attention by giving away something valuable up front.
This is how modern businesses grow — through trust, not transactions.
So what’s the move?
Create a lead magnet that’s an easy yes.
Something so helpful it solves a specific problem your ideal client is actively facing.
Example:
If you offer medical billing services, an urgent care clinic has very different needs than a PM&R office.
Know your niche — then solve their pain points before asking for money.
Audits are fine — but they’re often just disguised sales calls.
Instead, give something real. Something useful.
I’m putting together a FREE guide on how to build a lead magnet that brings in revenue — the kind that makes people say “yes” without hesitation.
It’ll be live in a few weeks.
